Abstract
The Voice of America radio service is in the process of designing and building several new transmitting facilities as a part of its modernization program. The design of the electrical power distribution systems for these new facilities posed unique design problems. For example, although US (ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, and military) standards were preferred for design, local regulations and codes had to be followed, unless waivers were obtained. The development of the electrical power distribution design for these facilities is reported
