Abstract
Vulnerability check is the first step of security design and implementation. There are many methods and tools for checking vulnerabilities of software or systems. In this paper, OVAL (open vulnerability assessment language) suggested by MLTRE is selected as a tool. OVAL consists of XML schema and SQL query statements. This paper designed and implemented the vulnerability assessment tool with OVAL to detect the weak points in security countermeasure block, system block model was proposed by Dr. Tai-hoon Kim of Korea, and can be used by big systems.
