Abstract
This paper presents the performance analysis of an improved differential frequency hopping (DFH) system under the conditions of partial-band noise jamming (PBNJ), the bit-error rate (BER) expressions are derived in terms of the characteristic functions of the decision statistics and validated by simulation results. When reducing the number of available frequency choices, the BER performance between improved DFH system and traditional system are compared under the conditions of PBNJ. The results of theoretical analysis and simulation show that under the conditions of BER is 9 × 10-3, when the number of available frequency choices is 32, improved DFH system is more than traditional system 0.8dB gain, when the number of available frequency choices is 16, improved DFH system is more than traditional system 1.5dB gain.
