Abstract :
The authors describe the complex signal FFT (fast Fourier transform) method, which is used in an MMW heterodyne time-domain automatic network analyzer. Using the output signal of in-phase/quadrature synchronous detectors in the analyzer, one can combine a complex signal and convert it to the frequency domain with the FFT. Testing results show that the method is as effective as the Hilbert-transform data processing method, and it has the advantages of simplicity and rapidity.<>
