Abstract
This paper present a comparative study between two advanced controls strategies; Fuzzy logic control and sliding mode control which there are applied on Low-Voltage-Ride-Through scheme for improving the behavior of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under fault. The DFIG has two main problems; first it is very sensitive to voltage dip because of the stator of DFIG is connected directly to the grid, second the abrupt variation of the wind velocity causes the fluctuations in the power injected in the electrical grid. In order to enhancing the behavior of DFIG under fault, and to smooth the power injected in the grid power, two advanced controls has been applied on the proposed LVRT scheme. The studies of these controllers are presented and the results are compared.
