Abstract :
In this paper we demonstrate experimentally for the first time of our knowledge an especial Coherent Direct Sequence-OCDMA encoder based on a specially designed Super Structured Fiber Bragg Grating (SSFBG) that provides the standard encoding functionalities of SSFBGs added to Group Velocity Dispersion compensation for 11 km of SSMF in the same device. The proposed devices avoid the use of additional dispersion compensation stages at the receiver end reducing system complexity and losses.
