Abstract :
An automatic insulation power factor test set was designed and developed. The requirements for an instrument that would measure the power factor of electrical insulation under all shop and field conditions are presented. A variety of available circuits for such a test set are discussed, and the selected circuitry and the operating software for the test set are described. Results of some typical measurements are presented
