Abstract :
Based on an analysis of a thermistor mount which is used as the load of a microcalorimeter, a novel type of K/sub a/-band microcalorimeter is reported. The total uncertainty of the microcalorimeter in calibrating directly the effective efficiency eta /sub e/ of commercial thermistor mounts has been estimated to be +or-0.2 to +or-0.5%.<>
