Application of power factor correction capacitors in modern industrial plants must consider harmonic components of voltage and current in the application. Whether the capacitors are installed as power factor correction for individual motors, as a bank of capacitors, or as a filter capacitor bank, harmonic distortion can prove disastrous to the application
