  • Abstract
The next generation of pressure spacesuits must enable the astronaut to accomplish the intricate Extravehicular Activity (EVA) tasks simply and efficiently, which makes the fit design of spacesuit significant. As the foundation of spacesuit, the fit design of upper torso determines the ergonomic property of the whole suit. This paper discusses and analyses approaches to settle the sizing problem of upper torso architect, including passive method and active method that are firstly defined here. By evaluating and discussing various methods, the roadmap of fit design is achieved. Moreover, suggestions for the future development of upper torso fit design are given.
