  • Abstract
    We propose an effective MPEG-2 compression noise reduction system based on the total variation (TV) regularization method for super-resolution systems. Compression noise is enhanced by super-resolution, and therefore, noise reduction is necessary for super-resolution. Our system can reduce MPEG-2 compression noise such as blocky noise and mosquito noise without losing the image sharpness. Our proposed method can be installed easily as a TV-based super-resolution system.
