Abstract
Contrast enhancement involves transforming the intensity of pixels from the original state to feature significant impact on display devices. This paper proposed a new kind of Histogram Equalization method that provide both high quality and low edge loss rate. Firstly the input image will be segmented into different sized sub-images due to pixels characteristics. The transform function of each block will then be calculated by Bilateral Bezier Curve HE method. Finally the global transform function can be estimated by combining all local transform functions together. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in providing a promising enhancement outcome.
