Abstract :
Recent advances in information and communication technologies have enabled the implementation of the Virtual Enterprise in various forms. This paper describes the process followed to successfully complete the layout of a Flash Memory Integrated Circuit project using a Virtual Enterprise. The criteria for project and extended team selection are presented. The team architecture and communication infrastructure are discussed in detail. The paper reports on how today´s technology was used to setup hardware and software systems, and how data security issues were resolved
