Abstract
The estimability of quantized dynamic linear systems was discussed from information theoretic point of view. The presented definitions were reviewed and extended to more general systems. Criterions of estimability for systems with quantized outputs were proposed based on the measure of mutual information. These obtained condition of estimability consists with our intuition very well and provides us with intrinsic perspective for the quantizer design. Furthermore, the convergence property of the quantized estimability Gramian was analyzed. The mathematical analysis is verified by illustrative simulations.
