Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme to achieve multipath diversity while with low decoding complexity. Based on the correlation analyses of OFDM subcarriers, block fast fading channels can be constructed by collecting uncorrelated subcarriers. Taking into account of the diversity saturation phenomena, simple-error-events, and dominant simple-error-events, we show that when the length of block fast fading channel includes almost dominating simple-error-events, the diversity that can be achieved in ideal fast fading channels is approached. This scheme can obtain both spatial and practical multipath diversity without paying any extra decoding complexity. Several simulations are carried out to confirm our scheme.
