Abstract :
We study the effects of visible light illumination on the behavior of Al/AlOx single-electron transistors (SETs) with different island size and geometry using semiconducting and insulating substrates at low temperatures (0.3 -4.2 K). Experimental data show several effects on the SET conductance caused by the light illumination.
