  • Abstract
    Radio frequency identification (RFID) has been considered as a time- and money-saving solution for a wide variety of applications, such as manufacturing, supply chain management, and inventory control. However, there is a growing need in the RFID community to research and find out the approach to overcome the problems posed by the privacy and information security of RFID system. This paper briefly presents the current solutions to security and privacy of RFID application system. After that an improved approach is proposed which is based on random number assisting and symmetric encryption. Then, the paper analyzes it from both security and privacy points of view. Finally, it gets the conclusion that this scheme prevents tracking, spoofing and attacking by adversaries effectively.
