Abstract :
We report the creation and the actuation of hybrid microsystem comprised of a soft material structure and cultured cardiomyocytes using 3D cell patterning technique and pattern transfer method we have developed. This paper introduces a concept for the integrated bio-actuated microsystem for miniaturized chemical and biochemical analysis system. The fabrication of a bio-actuated microsystem using cells, cell patterning technique and experimental system is shown.
