Abstract
The evolution of a new, “open” communications environment is now coming together harmoniously to deliver new communications services, characterised by mobility and advanced multimedia capabilities. The particular case addressed in this paper involves in a complex yet realistic scenario, telecom operators of fixed network, mobile telecommunications operator and Internet service providers (ISP). As a strategic movement towards IP technology both for access and backbone networks, this paper proposes an interworking scenario scheme between the ISP IP network and the mobile network. Finally, the main problems and issues are also identified and analyzed, originating from the planned network scenario
