  • Abstract
In this paper, we construct the adaptive ARQ/HARQ and analyze its throughput. Adaptation is carried out by switching between hybrid ARQ (automatic-repeat-request) and pure ARQ method, according to amount of negative NAK and positive ACK (acknowledgements) received on the transmitter side. RS (Reed-Solomon) code was chosen as FEC (forward-error-correction) in hybrid ARQ. Go-back-N ARQ scheme is used as well.
