Abstract :
This paper deals with the control of high performance induction machine vector control working with variable sampling period. In order to optimise the efficiency of a 6/8 MW 3 level medium voltage inverter, used in Zendzimir mill steel (Zmill) applications, the PWM frequency is varied to minimise the switching losses. The experimental results on 6 MW tension reel drive will be presented.
