Abstract :
Design of a millimeter-wave conformal phased microstrip patch antenna 2 times 8 elements array on a cylinder surface is presented. The hemline feed method (HFM) is used to design the patch element. This kind of elements and parallel feed network is used for forming the conformal microstrip array based on the isotropic transformation (IT) theory. The radiation features and phased-scanned patterns of the conformal antenna array are discussed. Simulations by the CST MICROWAVE STUDIO are given to verify this present design.
