Abstract :
This article describes the results of our research over the last few years on the design of the BIMS system, some related topics (such as radar-based indoor positioning, personal health-monitoring of first responders), and our findings of the Rotterdam fire service field trial with the MOOVE demonstrator system. During this trial a large-building incident was played out. Main functionality of the BIMS tool will include the tracking of first responders inside the building, the control which building rooms are cleared by first responders, and the monitoring of personnel status.
