  • Abstract
In this paper, the implementation of a time-recursive algorithm for the calculation of the cepstrum transform is presented. The presented algorithm is mapped on a FPGA-based reconfigurable board which uses CORDIC structures to compute rotations and vectoring functions. The high performance of the system which arises from its inherent parallelism, makes it ideal for multi-channel audio applications. Furthermore, it is envisaged that more complex time-recursive algorithms can also be implemented on the presented CORDIC-based board. The implementation is fully parametric due to the proper selection of the algorithm and the flexibility that the board offers
