Abstract
It is suggested that a session moderator who orchestrates the presentation of conference papers, rather than routinely introducing and thanking speakers, can create an invigorating session that flows as a cohesive whole. Orchestration is recommended because it promotes a warm speaking environment, encourages the speakers to present their papers energetically, and helps the audience feel they are taking part in a carefully planned and executed program.<>
