  • Abstract
    In this paper, a new simulation program of a 2D full wave analysis is described. This numerical analysis is based on the Wave Iterative Method (WIM), employing a graphics user interface (GUI) of MATLABreg on Microsoft Window XP computer. Since most students can easily access to such machines, it is possible to employ this field simulator as an ldquoElectromagnetic Simulation Programrdquo, to improve student learning efficiency of traditional teaching in microwave engineering courses. The main features of the WIM Simulator are summarized, and an example of WIM simulator for the classroom is presented.
