Abstract :
The problem of two open coupled metal-dielectric lines is topical for directional couplers, filters, antennas, etc. in so far as accurate models of these structures are indispensable to computer aided design. The presented accurate approach is capable of analyzing the waves in structures composed of two circular cylindrical slot/strip lines (CSlLs/CStLs) which belong to the family of the so-called nonplanar lines. Each CSlL/CStL consists of a circular dielectric rod coated with an infinitely thin metal slotted cylinder so that the longitudinal slot runs in the propagation direction. When the slot opening θ>π, the cylindrical slot line (CSlL) is considered as a cylindrical strip line (CStL). The discrete spectrum modes of some variants of coupled CSlLs/CStLs are discussed
