Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. In this paper, a novel integrated dual-mode rf front-end module (FEM) for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (BT) applications is realized by LTCC technology. The proposed dual-mode rf FEM consists of a novel selectable filter that has 4 ports, which are fully embedded in an LTCC substrate, with PIN diodes at three of the ports (and not the antenna port) for connecting or disconnecting to the ground. This selectable filter structure can be applied to either Tx or Rx paths or Wi-Fi or BT paths by simply shorting to ground, two of the appropriate ports.
