Abstract
A global climate warm up, rising costs of traditional fuels and constrains regarding nuclear power plants make renewable energy sources more and more interesting not only in regions with low grid availability but also in well developed countries. Renewable Hybrid Power Supply systems offer a possibility of optimized power generation for telecom networks as well as for local communities. This paper presents various architectures of hybrid power systems, related dimensioning methods and smart control logics. Experimental results from test hybrid site are presented and discussed.
