Abstract :
The influence of crosscorrelated data between both transmitting ends of the ISDN (integrated-services digital network) user interface is studied by computer simulation. The program has a modular and flexible structure, and it has been used for the simulation of the echo-cancellation method. The near-end and the far-end signals are maximal-length pseudorandom sequences. It has been found that for pairs of sequences of the same period, there is no such pair to ensure a more favorable echo return loss when the least-mean-squares sign, and fast Kalman algorithms are used. It has also been found that the longer the period the better the echo canceller performance
