Abstract :
Due to the non-renewablity of fossil fuels, the biomass energy has drawn more attention. However, owing to the large-scale dispersive distribution of biomass and lack of financial return to guarantee the sufficient feedstock of the centralized conversion facility, the development of the bioenergy is under slow progress in China. According to the previous research, there is a correlated coefficient between the crop yield and its original biomass. The total quantity of the biomass subtract from the crop yield will be the available biomass which can be used as the feedstock of the bioenergy. We here take land-use data as assistant reference and use moderate-resolution imaging spectrometer (MODIS) data, statistic data and geographical information systems (GIS) to evaluate the potential crop biomass energy distribution in Henan province and it will help to supply reference for site selection of the bioenergy plant and other decision making.
