Abstract :
A perturbational method to improve the stopband suppression of WDM photonic microwave filters based on using optical carriers with nonuniform spacing is presented. Unlike amplitude windowing, the use of nonuniform wavelength spacing does not significantly increase the filter mainlobe bandwidth, increasing the filter efficiency.
