Abstract :
An electroabsorption-modulator in an unbalanced Mach-Zehnder configuration is shown to generate a broadband linearized response, with simultaneous suppression of second and third order intermodulation products. The modulator is monolithically integrated with a widely-tunable SG-DBR laser.
