Abstract :
Social intelligence design is a new research area aimed at designing new computer-mediated communication systems based on in-depth understanding of intelligence as a social phenomenon. I describe the motivation underlying research into social intelligence design and conversational intelligence, and present a novel approach to community support systems that puts particular emphasis on the use of conversation in mediating interpersonal communications.
