Abstract :
Time-frequency distribution (TFD) is a tool to analyze time-varying signals. The cross term effect due to the second-order form of Cohen´s class severely blocks its application. A new TFD is presented which not only meets several useful TFD requirements but also has good interference immunity. It is deduced that the role which this new TFD plays with respect to Levin´s instantaneous power spectrum (IPS) is the counterpart of Choi-Williams exponential distribution (ED) with respect to the Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD)
