There is a great concern that farm workers should be aware of the risks of adverse effects of pesticide use. In this paper, we present pesticide-related symptoms, use of PPE and farmer´s personal hygiene and sanitation of the sprayers in China. We find that safety practices avoiding health risk during pesticide application were inadequate. Consequently, the potential risks from pesticide use may be high. Diffuse the knowledge of IPM, proper training in pesticide handling and education on the hazards of pesticide exposure, restrict some high hazardous and residual pesticides and supply adequacy drugs and equipment would diminish the health risk of pesticide exposure.
