Abstract :
In this paper we present the electroluminescent characteristics of an AlGaInP visible light emitting diode with a top surface resonant plasmonic hole-array grating. Light output saturation effects appear to be suppressed in the textured LED as compared with a non-textured device leading to an improved spatial intensity distribution.
