Abstract
The paper presents a discrete-time PI controller for the Networked Control Systems (NCS) with communication delay. The proposed controller is designed for compensating various communication delays present in the network. The comparative performance analysis is carried out for different communication delays and a network delay bound is specified. To show the efficacy of the algorithm, simulation is carried out on DC motor position servo control system using Ethernet as communication network medium. The True Time toolbox of MATLAB is used for simulation to analyse the effect of different delays.
