Abstract :
Second order polynomial approach has been used as filtering technique to smooth out the artificial steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) signal. Bhattacharyya distance (BD) is used as performance metric for evaluating the five different values of fundamental frequency, f, which are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 Hz with constant length of sliding window, L. The results indicate that a small value of f compared to L will reduce the peak value of the fundamental frequency, f.
