Abstract :
This paper presents current implementation of Fiber-To-The-School (FTTSchool) solution as the last mile access technology to the schools. The deployment of FTTSchool at 25 schools in Putrajaya and Cyberjaya area remarks the beginning of a high-speed broadband service to the school. This paper covers the migration of the access network medium from copper to fiber optic based networks, which is an emerging trend in delivering high-speed broadband services to the user. The installation has been studied, designed and implemented as a commercial pilot project and also ready for future expansions.
