Abstract :
The paper describes a reliable computer procedure able to simulate the induction hardening of spur gears, by means of a multiphysics model coupling electromagnetic, thermal and metallurgical FEM analyses. This may allow accurate, fast, and flexible tuning of the hardening process parameters, thus optimizing experimental activity.
