Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis of BER performance of different detectors used in Multiple-input multiple-output (MEMO) system and proposes a new concept of MEMO detection scheme aiming at minimizing the average computational complexity. The detection methods, according to the estimated channel state information, are adapted to deliver just acceptable error rate. Performance of two popular MIMO detectors is analyzed. Based on these analyses, a channel adaptive MEMO (CA-MEMO) receiver with a novel method selection strategy is investigated. Simulation results provide the comparison of different detectors in accordance with BER performance and demonstrate that the proposed CA-MEMO detector reduces huge computational complexity.
