Abstract :
Thaala or Rhythm is a repeating pattern of beats or sounds used to synchronize the music. Keeping thaala running without going out of sync is an uphill task for the musician while rendering complex structures of the music. This paper presents an outline of a musical metronome comprising various features such as detecting the tempo of the music using keys or sensors, displaying thaala gestures on screen and synchronizing the thaala in real time mode. This musical metronome will help to relieve the musician from keeping track of thaala and thereby supporting musician in delivering quality music.
