Abstract :
Bangladesh is a developing country. Though many problems are present in here, various sectors of Bangladesh are improving day by day than others developing countries. Chittagong Hill Tract is famous remote districts in Bangladesh because of its many world famous tourist spots. The people of this district are lagged behind from many facilities than other district because the transmission of power is very expensive and difficult here due to its hilly and river region. This research is mainly concerned with a feasibility study for a micro-hydro scheme on the waterfalls of Chittagong Hill Tract region with turbine design and simulation of an integrated renewable model. It is found that with the head and flow rate, high intensity of solar radiation and sufficient wind flow available encircling the year, Chittagong Hill Tracts waterfalls should be sustainable for micro hydro with solar and wind power plant.
