Abstract :
In this paper, a novel permanent magnet (PM) actuator for low voltage controlled vacuum contactor is proposed. Magnetic field is analyzed using finite element method. The simulation being carried out couples the electrical circuit equation, mechanical equation and magnetic field. A prototype is manufactured and tested, which shows that the contactor equipped with the proposed PM actuator has good performance.
