Abstract :
This work is about understanding economic dispatch solutions, in the different contexts associated to a market environment, from a monopoly to a perfect market, passing through the oligopoly, market power, minimum production cost, maximum net social benefit and minimum consumer payment, for thermal and hydrothermal systems. The essence of the article is the graphic representation and comparison of the solutions, for simple but deeply enlightening cases, considering no transmission network
