  • Abstract
    This paper develops optimal daily operation mode of pumped-storage power plants under electricity market environment. Assuming electricity prices can be estimated and taking the risk into considerations, an algorithm to maximize the profit of a pumped-storage power plant considering reserve bids is developed. Chance-constrained programming (CCP), Monte Carlo simulation and GA are used to solve the problem
