Abstract :
A decoder that has the option of not decoding and thus declaring an erasure is called an errors and erasures decoder. We obtain improved simultaneous exponential upper bounds to error and erasure probabilities. We also improve the lower bound to the zero undetected-error capacity for discrete memoryless channels
