Abstract :
A computationally efficient algorithm developed to obtain a symbolic analysis of linear shift invariant digital filters is presented. The method determines transfer functions based on a succession of return difference measurements, starting from a destroyed network. The conjugation of these results with properties of the Pade approach allows the algorithm to be implemented with no need of special symbolic languages. Illustrative cases are included
