Abstract :
Discusses the use of the busy tone multiple access (BTMA) protocol in multihop networks. The paper extends the analysis of Takagi and Kleinrock (1984) and provides the long run average throughput from the hidden Markov model. The performances of conservative BTMA and idealistic destination based BTMA. Multichannel CSMA and BTMA protocols are also discussed for the multihop networks
